Moms, let’s be honest with each other. Woman to woman.
All day, you do things for others. Laundry, ferry children from place to place, cook, clean, make appointments, work, make sure everyone is taken care of and then, maybe, if you’re lucky, get to take a bubble bath uninterrupted. Aren’t you exhausted? Drained? Maybe you aren’t a mom and you still feel this way. Let’s be real…. it is time for you to pour into yourself.
A pitcher of water can only be poured out so much before it runs dry. Mama, you are like that very pitcher. Unless you fill yourself up, you cannot pour into others. You have to take a break, sweet Mama. Remember, Jesus needed time alone too. Jesus, needed to recharge and refill. The game changer is what you are being filled with.
You have a choice. Be filled with the world, or be filled with God. You can’t have both.
If you’re filled with the Lord, there is no room for sin for where God is, sin cannot be.
Think about it. If you’re filling your eyes with inappropriate pictures or movies, can you be filling your eyes with the Lord at the same time? What if you’re filling your ears with cursing and music that contradicts the way we are to act, can you be filling your ears with praise to God?
Take a break, gorgeous woman of God. Fill yourself with things of the Lord, and you will not be moved.
